What is Ascend Women's Care and Family Support?
Ascend Women's Care and Family Support is a 501 © 3 not-for-profit organization that provides compassionate medical services, evidence based resources and education that encourages healthy life skills. A medical ministry that exists to serve women and men in the community experiencing an unintended pregnancy.
What services do you provide?
We provide free pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, pregnancy options coaching, parenting classes, wrap-around pregnancy support, material goods assistance and a post-abortion support group. For more information, please visit www.ascendwga.com/howwehelp
Do you guys provide abortions or birth control?
Ascend does not perform or refer for abortion nor offer contraceptives.
Do you guys offer prenatal support?
We do provide prenatal support. We do not provide prenatal care which is provided by the OB.
Are you a medical clinic?
We are a medical clinic that is overseen by our licensed and insured Medical Director and that is staffed with RN’s to administer our medical services.
Who can benefit from Ascend services?
Anyone can benefit from our services! Regardless of gender, ethnicity, and economic class we are here for you. All of our services are completely free of charge. Because of this, we have no financial agenda. Ascend is a safe haven for anyone unsure of their next steps to receive unbiased pregnancy services and evidenced-based information.
Do you provide post abortion support?
We do provide post abortion support. Trained facilitators help women address the after effects of abortion head on and help women learn about forgiveness and receive healing.
What are your procedures of keeping confidentiality?
Ascend respects patient privacy and complies with applicable privacy laws. Please read our Notice of Privacy Practice.
How do you get your funding?
All funding is received from the private sector-individuals, business, churches and private foundations. Ascend receives no government funding or grants. Ascend is an independent entity governed by a board of directors.
